Join Meeru Dhalwala and Vij’s restaurant at “From Farms to Forks 2 – A Growing Chefs! Harvest Kitchen Party”. Wander through Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts classroom kitchens and watch chefs in action as you sample food and drink from Vij’s and many other local restaurants. Each chef will be paired with a local B.C. grower and producer to celebrate the best of the season. Wine pairings from Vincor Canada and craft beer from R&B Brewing Co. Celebrate and enjoy comfort foods created and cooked from the heart. Fifteen Canadian moms of various heritages will share their cuisines, stories and cultures at this family-friendly community cooking event organized by (moms) Meeru Dhalwala of Vij’s and Mary MacKay of Terra Breads. Special guests Tarun Nayar and Sanjay Seran (Delhi 2 Dublin) and Rup Sidhu (BPM) will perform their eclectic mash-up of Punjabi-bhangra-hip-hop. This event is a fundraiser for the UBC Farm and its children’s programs.
